The first team has qualified for the 2019 CWL Pro League at this week’s qualifier.
Midnight Esports, a team full of amateur players, secured a spot in the CWL Pro League with a 3-1 win against Team Space on Friday. The victory against Space marked Midnight’s fifth in the event, which locked in their first-place standing in Pool C.
While Australian team Mindfreak had a similar opportunity, they lost their match against Red Reserve, which would have secured their own spot in the league. They will have another chance Saturday when they finish out their Pool D matches with a matchup against UYU, who sit directly behind Mindfreak.
