I miss the Black Ops 6 beta. Lots of other Call of Duty players likely do, too, in the day off between the early access beta ending and the open beta’s return tomorrow.
If you came here looking for the patch notes for today’s Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone update, I am sorry. There’s nothing new or exciting to report, and today will be a long one without BO6 to play, unfortunately.
With just under two months left to go until BO6’s full release, there’s still a good amount of MW3 and Warzone left to play. And for Warzone players, the wait is even longer, with BO6 integration not set to release until season one, which should be sometime in December.
Read on below for everything new and different in MW3 and Warzone today.
MW3, Warzone patch notes today, Sept. 5
There’s really not much to the update to speak of, other than a couple of bug fixes for nagging issues in both MW3 and Warzone.
For Warzone, Raven has deployed a new update where “attempting to use a Bunker Buster within close proximity of an already active one will display an ‘airspace is too crowded’ message.”
In MW3 multiplayer, Sledgehammer has fixed several issues, including a split-screen crash with DEV ERROR 12744, disabled the infil sequences on Skid Row and 6 Star in the Cyber Attack mode, corrected the reticle for the Torque 35 bow, and some other slight changes, and fixed an issue causing attachments to be removed from certain blueprints.
Unfortunately for gamers, these changes are not substantial enough to excite CoD players, nor is it the return of the BO6 beta. That comes tomorrow at 12pm CT. The open beta goes live then and will end on Monday, Sept. 9 at the same time before going back into the garage for tune-ups ahead of full launch on Oct. 25.
For fans of MW3, though, season six is set to begin on Sept. 18. Little is known about the new season yet, although leaks and speculation point to another Halloween-themed event, new skins, new weapons, maps, and more.
