How to fix Black Ops 6 Memory Error

I don't remember the last time I error'd this bad.

Errors in online games are just painful, especially when you’re trying to grind out competitive games like Call of Duty. Now, Black Ops 6 has a memory error cropping up.

Challenges like camo unlocks, unlocking nukes, ranking up, or having fun with friends can be derailed very quickly by errors. Black Ops 6 is the latest and most advanced CoD title yet, but that doesn’t mean it’s immune to errors of its own.

A Memory Error has been popping up in BO6, and it’s causing confusion and annoyance for players who are just trying to enjoy the game. But while the name may imply there’s an issue with your console or PC’s memory, there may be a simpler explanation.

Here’s everything we know about the Black Ops 6 Memory Error so far.

The Black Ops 6 memory error, which often appears as “ERROR – Memory Error: 12702 – 3,” currently has no true fix. Thankfully, the error isn’t too widespread or complicated, so there is little to do.

If you encounter the Memory Error in BO6, simply either restart your game, restart your console or PC, or return to the Call of Duty HQ menu and re-queue for a new match. If the error keeps persisting, it’s likely a more widespread issue than usual, and it may be worth checking out CoD social channels to see if it has been acknowledged.

Here are some CoD social media pages to look at to see if an error has been confirmed or announced:

In the end, most of the errors in CoD usually just mean there are some issues with the game that are out of your hands, and it simply is what it is. You can try to do things like reinstall the game, scan and repair for errors, or make sure that the game is updated to its latest state.

Otherwise, you’re out of luck and just have to wait for a fix from Treyarch or Activision. Sit tight, soldier.
