ESWC Day 2 Recap

Day 2 of ESWC in Paris has concluded and unfortunately the competition was again troubled by connection issues. Despite this, the tournament carried on and we saw the completion of both the group and quarter-final stages. Let’s take a look at how the group stages ended first:

Group Stages

Group A

• Supremacy 3-2 Giants Gaming
• OpTic Gaming 3-2 Supremacy

Optic Gaming advance to quarter-finals.

Group B

• Vitality 3-2 WySix Team
• Vitality 3-1 Hypergames

Vitality advance to quarter-finals.

Group C

• Killerfish eSport 3-2 Team LDLC
• Splyce 3-0 Killerfish eSport

Splyce advance to quarter-finals.

Group D

• Epsilon eSports 3-1 Pulse Gaming
• Exertus eSports 3-2 Epsilon eSports

Exertus eSports advance to quarter-finals.

After the group stages finished, we jumped straight into the quarter-finals. They played out like this:

Quarter Finals

• OpTic Gaming 3-1 Team Infused
• Rise Nation 3-0 Exertus eSports
• Splyce 3-0 FaZe Clan
• Millennium 3-1 Vitality

After all of today’s action we now know the semi-final pairings for championship Sunday:

Semi-Finals

• Rise Nation VS Splyce
• OpTic Gaming VS Millennium
