One of the most highly-anticipated zombies experiences is coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops III, and Treyarch revealed more details about its upcoming release earlier today.
Zombies Chronicles is the fifth DLC map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops III, featuring eight remastered zombies maps from the previous three Treyarch titles.
The three maps from Call of Duty: World at War that are being remastered include Nacht der Untoten, Verruckt, and Shi No Numa. From Call of Duty: Black Ops, the four maps are Kino Der Toten, Ascension, Shangri-la, and Moon. The eighth and final map that Treyarch is remaking in Zombies Chronicles is Origins from Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

Treyarch co-studio head Jason Blundell announced on stream that the GobbleGum machine will be featured in all of the remastered zombies maps on Black Ops III. GobbleGums are customizable gumballs that can be purchased in every Black Ops III zombies map to give players special abilities or bonuses. This machine was introduced to zombies in Black Ops III, so GobbleGums previously didn’t exist on any of the maps that are being remastered.
Blundell said that there will be eight new GobbleGums in Black Ops III zombies, and from here on out, the first GobbleGum on every map will be free instead of costing the traditional 500 points.
The hype surrounding Zombies Chronicles is astonishing, with many players excited to relive their great memories of the zombies maps. Players have already started to pre-order the map pack, as the pre-order comes with an exclusive PS4 animated Zombies Chronicles theme.
Zombies Chronicles costs $29.99, but is not included with the original Black Ops III Season Pass. The zombies community is anxious to play these fan-favorite maps, which will be available first on PlayStation 4 on May 16.
