This article is over 8 years old and may contain outdated information

Stage 2 of the Call of Duty World League for Call of Duty®: Black Ops III  got off to a great start last week, which means that it is time for an updated edition of eSportsNation ’s power rankings for the North American teams participating in this league.

Just as a reminder, the point system for these power rankings will be calculated based on the rankings submitted by any of the eSportsNation staff members. These staff members were asked to rank the 12 teams in order from best to worst, with No. 1 being the best and No. 12 being the worst. Points will be rewarded to mirror a team’s ranking; for example, the first place team will receive 12 points, while the twelfth place team will receive one point.

After every week of action, we will be releasing another power rankings article where the teams will either move up or down based on how they perform in their matches, so don’t forget to check back here each week for the latest power rankings.

Without further ado, here are your power rankings for this week.

NA Power Rankings – Week 2 (Season 2)

1.  Rise Nation (82 total points; 5 first place votes)

For the first time since the power rankings series began here at eSportsNation, we have a new team in the number one spot.  Rise Nation earned this ranking by going 2-0 in Week 1, with a 3-0 victory over Team SoloMid and an impressive 3-1 win over OpTic Gaming. In Week 2, Rise will look to continue their early dominance when they take on Cloud9 and Luminosity Gaming.

2. OpTic Gaming (78 total points; 2 first place votes)

OpTic Gaming  have dropped down to the number two spot in our power rankings after they surprisingly went 1-1 in Week 1 with a 3-2 win over Team EnVyUs, followed by a 3-1 loss to Rise Nation. OpTic will try to get back on track when they play against H2k-Gaming and Team eLevate in Week 2.

3. FaZe Clan (70 total points)

A strong 2-0 start for  FaZe Clan keeps them in the number three spot of our power rankings, as they were able to defeat both Luminosity and compLexity Gaming 3-0. In Week 2, FaZe will look to extend their win streak when they face off against Dream Team and 100Thieves.

4. Team EnVyUs (60 total points)

  • Jordan “JKap” Kaplan
  • Austin “SlasheR” Liddicoat
  • Johnathan “John” Perez
  • Bryan “Apathy” Zhelyazkov

Team EnVyUs went 1-1 in Week 1 as their new roster played together in the league for the first time, and they were able to move up one spot in our power rankings. EnVyUs started off strong with a 3-0 sweep of Team eLevate, but then lost a close series 3-2 to OpTic. The boys in blue will look to bounce back from that loss when they go up against TSM and C9 in Week 2.

5.  Cloud9 (57 total points)

In their first week of action in the CWL,  Cloud9 started off 2-0 and have jumped up three spots in our power rankings. C9 was able to defeat Dream Team 3-0 and 100Thieves 3-1. In Week 2, C9 will put their record to the test when they take on Rise Nation and Team EnVyUs.

6. H2k-Gaming (45 total points)

H2k-Gaming got off to a 1-1 start, despite playing without Phillip “ PHiZZURP” Klemenov, and they have gone up one spot in our power rankings. H2k fell 3-1 to coL, but bounced back with a 3-1 win over Team eLevate. With PHiZZURP returning to action, H2k will try to improve upon their record when they play against OpTic and TSM in Week 2.

7. compLexity Gaming (41 total points)

Despite starting 1-1,  compLexity Gaming has dropped one spot in our power rankings. coL began the new season with a 3-1 win over H2k, but then ended up losing 3-0 to FaZe. In Week 2, coL will look to bring their record above .500 when they face off against Dream Team and Team eLevate.

8.  Team eLevate (36 total points)

Team eLevate had one of the more disappointing performances in Week 1, going 0-2 and dropping four spots in our power rankings. eLv lost 3-0 to EnVyUs and 3-1 to H2k, and they will try to flip the script when they go up against OpTic and coL in Week 2.

9. 100Thieves (34 total points)

Entering Stage 2 as the underdogs,  100Thieves went 1-1 in their first week of action and moved up three spots in our rankings. In their first game of the season, 100Thieves defeated TSM 3-2 before losing 3-1 to C9. In Week 2, 100Thieves will look to continue to prove everyone wrong when they take on Luminosity and FaZe.

10. Dream Team (16 total points)

Dream Team was able to go 1-1 in Week 1 and effectively moved up one spot in our power rankings. dT lost 3-0 to C9 but responded with a 3-2 win over Luminosity. dT will try to gain momentum off their recent win when they play against FaZe and coL in Week 2.

11. Team SoloMid (14 total points)

After an impressive end to Stage 1,  Team SoloMid is not off to the best start in Stage 2 as they sit at 0-2 and have dropped two spots in our power rankings after losing 3-2 to 100Thieves and 3-0 to Rise Nation. In Week 2, TSM will try to turn things around when they face off against EnVyUs and H2k.

12. Luminosity Gaming (13 total points)

Luminosity Gaming rounds out our power rankings after going 0-2 on the week and dropping two spots down to last place. Luminosity fell 3-0 to FaZe and 3-2 to dT, and they will try to bounce back from these losses when they go up against 100Thieves and Rise Nation in Week 2.
