Call of Duty World League: Stage 2 Day 2, Week 8 Recap

Check out all the results from Week Eight, Day Two of Stage Two of the Call of Duty World League.

The second day of action for Week Eight of the Call of Duty World League was just as exciting as all of yesterday’s matches. With MLG Anaheim right around the corner, teams are trying to hit their stride and play their best before the event this weekend (June 10-12).

Here is a recap of all the North American matches that took place earlier today. 

  • (8-5) Team eLevate 3-1 compLexity Gaming (4-9)

eLv started off tonight’s action with a 250-187 win on Stronghold Hardpoint. coL was able to answer back, taking Breach Search and Destroy 6-3 to even the series at 1-1. However, eLv continued to play well in the respawn games, winning Evac Uplink 12-1 and Fringe Capture the Flag 2-0 to win the series 3-1. 

  • (7-5) Dream Team 3-1 FaZe Clan (9-5)

Dream Team showed why they have been one of the best teams in Black Ops III this season with their 3-1 win over FaZe. dT was able to win Stronghold Hardpoint 250-183 and Breach Search and Destroy 6-5, before FaZe took Evac Uplink 12-8. After a very close game on Fringe Capture the Flag, dT was able to win the map and secure their 3-1 series win. 

  • (5-7) Luminosity Gaming 3-2 Dream Team (7-6)

In a very back-and-forth match, dT began the series with a 250-180 win on Stronghold Hardpoint. Luminosity was able to win Breach Search and Destroy 6-3, but dT answered right back with a 8-5 win on Evac Uplink. However, from there, Luminosity took care of business, winning Fringe Capture the Flag in OT and winning Redwood Search and Destroy 6-4 to complete the upset and take the 3-2 series win.

  • (9-4) Rise Nation 3-1 Cloud9 (7-7)

C9 started off this match with a shocking 250-193 win on Stronghold Hardpoint. From that point on, it was all Rise, as they went on to win the next three maps. Rise won Breach Search and Destroy 6-3, Evac Uplink 10-4 and Fringe Capture the Flag 4-1 en route to a 3-1 series victory. 

  • (10-2) OpTic Gaming 3-1 H2k-Gaming (6-8)

To end the night, OpTic started this series by winning Stronghold Hardpoint 250-166. H2k responded with a 6-4 win on Breach Search and Destroy to tie up the series, but OpTic took care of business in the respawn games, defeating H2k 17-4 on Evac Uplink and 4-1 on Fringe Capture the Flag to take the 3-1 series win.
