The Zombies game mode has become a staple for Call of Duty fans, especially when it comes to Treyarch’s installments in the franchise—and the latest title definitely doesn’t disappoint.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 features an incredible Zombies experience with more customization options and challenges than ever before. Whether you’re a seasoned zombie-slaying veteran or a complete noob, there’s something for you in Black Ops 4 Zombies.
As of January 2019, there are already five Zombies maps available in Black Ops 4 (you can access all of them if you own the Black Ops Pass). But which ones are the best or most enjoyable? Here’s what we think so far about the Zombies maps in Black Ops 4.
IX
So far in Black Ops 4, we’ve had the most fun playing IX. It’s a relatively large map that offers a variety of boss zombies, a new wonder weapon, and other unique features. And once you’ve opened up the map and have a fully-loaded inventory, it’s not too difficult to get to the high rounds on IX.

The starting area is actually the best spot to train zombies—as long as you’re not on a round where fire is coming out of the ground. The Arena is large enough to allow you to run in a big circle, and it offers multiple exits just in case you get in a tricky situation and need to make a quick escape.
If you’re a fan of big Zombies maps, we definitely recommend playing IX.
Blood of the Dead
Blood of the Dead should feel familiar to any longtime Zombies fans—it’s a remastered version of the popular Mob of the Dead map from Black Ops II. There are plenty of new areas to explore and unique weapons to try out on Blood of the Dead, however.

The fan-favorite Blundergat wonder weapon returns in Blood of the Dead—and now, you can even upgrade it into the fearsome Magmagat, which is arguably one of the best guns in Zombies history.
This map is a little more difficult than IX, though. But once you find a good spot to train zombies (we recommend the Cafeteria) and get set up with a Magmagat, you should have a ton of fun slaying hordes of the living dead.
Dead of the Night
Dead of the Night is the newest Zombies map in Black Ops 4—it was added to the game on Dec. 11, 2018. And we think it’s by far the most challenging map in Black Ops 4 Zombies.
The map is pretty big, but it features new annoying vampire zombies and a giant werewolf boss. It also has several unique wonder weapons, like the Savage Impaler, Alistair’s Folly, and the Stake Knife.

It will most likely take you a while to get used to Dead of the Night. You might struggle in your first few attempts, but once you (kinda) get the hang of it, you should be able to have some fun on this map.
This article will be updated when new Zombies maps are added to Black Ops 4.
