Acer announces Asia Pacific Predator League for 2019

Teams will compete for their share of $250,000 in February.

Predator Gaming is gearing up for 2019, recently announcing the Asia Pacific Predator League Grand Finals will be held in Thailand from Feb. 15 to 17.

The 2019 event will feature two titles: PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) and Dota 2. Team Immunity will represent the Australia and New Zealand region, battling it out for their share of $250,000. The tournament will also feature offline & online events to determine the best teams.

Officially launched last year, the Asia Pacific Predator League has since expanded, boasting participants from a total of 16 countries—more than double that of last year’s participants. The Grand Final event alone will host players from 10 countries.

This isn’t the first event Acer has sponsored in the region, earlier in the year Acer’s Predator line also partnered with Throwdown Esports to host the qualifying, PUBG OCE Open Series. An event that saw over 50 teams competing for their right to represent the ANZ region.

The Predator League is held yearly by Acer to reinforce the Predator Brand and their support for the gaming industry. It is certainly refreshing to see Acer commit to the development of the Asia Pacific region from grassroots through to professional competitions.
