Longtime esports fans will remember the days when MLG used to host events with multiple tournaments across different games at the same venue. Well those fans will probably feel a little nostalgic this weekend with the Halo and Gears of War tournaments at MLG New Orleans 2018.

These two events will both take place in the New Orleans Morial Convention Center (Hall H) from July 13 to 15.

Both of these tournaments will have the same prize pool distribution—the $250,000 total prize pool for each game will be split among the top 12 teams. The champions of both events will walk away with the $100,000 first-place prize.

Schedule

Gears of War open bracket action kicks off at 12pm CT on Friday, July 13, while the Halo open bracket will begin one hour later. Both broadcasts on Friday start at 2pm CT.

On Saturday, the Gears action and broadcast will begin at 10am CT, while the Halo stream will start at 2pm CT. Championship Sunday will get underway with Gears at 10am CT, followed by Halo at 12pm CT.

How to watch

There are multiple ways to watch both of these tournaments if you aren’t attending the event. You can catch all of the Gears of War action on MLG.tv/Gears, live.gearsofwar.com, and mixer.com/gears. Halo will be streamed on MLG.tv/Halo, Twitch.tv/Halo, and mixer.com/halo.
