Here is the Crota’s End loot table in Destiny 2

We probably have never wanted a raid machine gun this badly.

Loot tables have been a useful resource for Destiny 2 players for years now, and Crota’s End is no exception. The reprised raid from the original game is making its way to the sequel with returning weapons and armor, so knowing what to target and where is essential.

Crota’s End has four encounters similar to the original: Abyss, Bridge, Ir Yût, and Crota. Each encounter can drop three different weapons and a few pieces of armor. The raid itself isn’t farmable while it’s the Pinnacle raid, so players can only obtain drops from their first weekly clear on each character.

Here is the Crota’s End loot table so you know exactly where to get that machine gun we know you’ve been eyeing.

Crota’s End loot table in Destiny 2

The Crota’s End loot table was weighted differently for armor pieces at launch. Chest armor and gauntlets dropped from three out of four encounters, while leg armor and the helmet would only drop from the first and fourth encounters, respectively. Bungie improved the armor distribution with Update 7.2.0.5, making it easier to obtain the helmet and the leg armor. We’ve updated our loot table to reflect these changes.

You can also obtain two hidden chests throughout the raid: one in Abyss and another after the Bridge section, in the path that leads to Ir Yût. These extra chests don’t follow the loot table, however, and can give you anything else you have already earned. If you don’t have earned any armor on a certain guardian, for instance, opening them guarantees you’ll get weapon drops since you can’t obtain new items from them.

We’ve compiled this table based on our experience, player reports, and patch notes for Update 7.2.0.5. We’ll continue to update this list as more information becomes available.

Crota’s End was known in Destiny as one of the easiest raids and was often compared to a Strike. In its Destiny 2 incarnation, however, Crota is bringing a far bigger challenge, especially in contest mode. The prize may be worth it, though: some of the weapons on the list have incredible rolls despite their archetypes, while some have fresh new rolls in addition to being great archetypes (looking at you, Song of Ir Yût).

Outside of contest mode, however, Crota’s End is far less deadly and can be an easier raid when it comes to damage checks. The mechanics can still trip players who aren’t used to the activity or who fail to keep track of their buffs and debuffs, but overall, Crota’s End doesn’t pose as much of a threat. The first two encounters, for instance, rely on mechanics instead of huge DPS walls, and even both Ir Yût and Crota need extra steps before you can start firing your rockets or swinging your swords.

Don’t expect to just walk into the raid like guardians did in the days of Destiny, though. You’ll spot several mechanical tweaks that make this raid even more punishing, but that also adds a lot more flavor to its rich ambiance and stunning visuals.

All Crota’s End weapons in Destiny 2

Crota’s End brings four primary weapons, one Special, and one Heavy. Most of these weapons have some lesser-used archetypes, including a 180rpm Void hand cannon and a 360rpm Solar auto rifle. They boast great perks, but their archetype is bound to usually come more as a hindrance than an advantage. Song of Ir Yût, the machine gun, might just be the star of the loot pool this time around thanks to a unique combination of perks: Reconstruction and Bait and Switch.

If you’re willing to tinker with other archetypes, Abyss Defiant (360rpm Solar AR) comes with tremendous potential, and Fang of Ir Yût (260rpm Strand scout rifle) comes with a stocked perk pool and the flavor, look, and feel unique to Crota’s End weapons. Oversoul Edict (540rpm Arc pulse rifle) can also be a good option in the Crucible.

In addition to the weapons, players can get the Crota’s End armor, in the Age of Triumph version no less. Fashion chasers can definitely find something worth transmogging on each set (and we’re drooling over the Warlock set in particular). Surprisingly, the encounter against Ir Yût the Deathsinger seems to only drop the Song of Ir Yût machine gun and not the Fang of Ir Yût scout rifle—and we wouldn’t have guessed that one. (At least Word of Crota still drops from Crota.)

Crota’s End has six Legendary weapons to choose from, including four primaries, with Swordbreaker and Song of Ir Yût as the Special and Heavy drops, respectively. Here are all the weapons and their archetypes.

  • Necrochasm (Auto Rifle, Exotic)
    • Necrochasm is obtained through the Bottomless Pit quest.
  • Fang of Ir Yût (Scout Rifle, Strand, Rapid-Fire Frame, 260rpm)
  • Swordbreaker (Shotgun, Strand, Lightweight Frame, 80rpm)
  • Word of Crota (Hand Cannon, Void, Precision Frame, 180rpm)
  • Abyss Defiant (Auto Rifle, Solar, High-Impact Frame, 360rpm)
  • Oversoul Edict (Pulse Rifle, Arc, Rapid-Fire Frame, 540rpm)
  • Song of Ir Yût (Machine Gun, Arc, Adaptive Frame, 450rpm)
