Teams of three will battle it out in three stock matches with no items, except for the Smash Ball which could turn around any fight. The matches will consist of best-of-five two vs. two matches, Smashdown matches, and three vs. three Squad Strike games.

Regional qualifiers in each of the 12 regions will be hosted by Nintendo to find out who will represent their country at the live finals. The 12 countries taking part includes:

  • United Kingdom & Ireland
  • France
  • Germany
  • Spain
  • Portugal
  • Italy
  • Russia
  • Netherlands
  • Belgium
  • Austria
  • Switzerland
  • The Nordics, comprising Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden

Further information on qualification in all the 12 countries will be announced at various locations. Be sure to check out your country’s Nintendo social accounts for more details.
