An infamous Hearthstone card could be set to return to the game’s Arena mode in a future patch.
Yogg-Saron, Hope’s End is a 10-mana 7/5 legendary neutral minion with the Battlecry ability to cast a random spell for each spell you’ve cast this game.

It was one of the most tilting and impactful cards in the Hearthstone meta before it was nerfed in September 2016. But now Yogg sees minimal play due the alterations made to this rage-inducing card—changes were made so Yogg would stop casting spells if the card was destroyed, silenced, transformed, or returned to the owner’s hand, as well as having the spells apply any Overload to the controlling player.
Yogg could be making a return to Arena, however. Hearthstone players seemingly just noticed that Yogg wasn’t available in Arena, but August Dean Ayala, a game designer at Blizzard, said this will be fixed in a future patch.
“There was a bug in our editor way back when that caused a card to become ‘undraftable’ when we made any changes to it.” Ayala said. “This includes text, art, or some background engineering change. When KoFT released, there was a big bucket of these we fixed and it looks like Yogg-Saron somehow slipped through the cracks.”
It appears that Yogg will be back in Hearthstone Arena soon—for better or worse.
