The European Minor qualifier for the Boston Major began today in Bucharest, Romania, and GODSENT is the first big name team to leave the event early.
GODSENT lost their opening Group A match to AGO Gaming 16-8 on Cache, putting them in the losers’ match right after. Fortunately for GODSENT, they swept Windigo Gaming 2-0 with dominant 16-2 and 16-3 scorelines on Mirage and Overpass to stay alive for a little longer in the Minor. But their luck ran out as they faced AGO in the group decider and lost two maps in a row—Mirage (16-13) and Cobblestone (16-5).

Although Simon “twist” Eliasson was the most consistent of the Swedish side in their three maps against AGO, his fragging power wasn’t enough for GODSENT to overcome their excruciatingly weak Counter-Terrorist sides. Their defensive winrate was an approximate average of three rounds per half.
The ELEAGUE Major: Boston will be the second consecutive Valve Major that the Swedish lineup will miss. The last time many of these players attended a Major was last January at the ELEAGUE Major: Atlanta, when twist, Dennis Edman, and Joakim “disco doplan” Gidetun were with Fnatic. Andreas “znajder” Lindberg, however, has been with GODSENT since it was founded in April 2016.
GODSENT will be looking to bounce back from their losses at the Minor in their ECS season four and ESL Pro League season six matches.
