Here are the best Silver Leaves farms in Destiny 2’s Solstice 2024

The quickest way to get them.

Destiny 2‘s Solstice event has kicked off again this year, with Silver Leaves at the core of an exceedingly convoluted system. This returning resource is one of the key parts in getting the new armor sets and their glows.

As part of the new Alloy system, Destiny 2 players can interact with the new Solstice Forge to obtain bounties for each armor slot. Grabbing those bounties (or rerolling a slot) will cost Silver Leaves, which are a bit more in demand this year.

Here are our picks for the best Silver Leaves farm this year. You’ll earn Silver Leaves just by completing activities while you have the Solstice Forge on your quest log.

  • Checkpoint farming the First Contact (Lightfall) mission
  • Quick dungeon encounters (such as Dûl Incaru in the Shattered Throne)
  • Heroic public events
  • Event challenges and playlist activities
  • Bonfire Bash

Before you start farming, our main tip is to get cheap/easy bounties instead of rerolling the objectives for a given slot. Rerolling costs five Silver Leaves, while the lowest tiers of bounty can be done quickly and only cost one or two Leaves.

It took us around two and a half minutes to complete a simple “get elemental kills” bounty in the entrance to the Grasp of Avarice dungeon. This is a lot easier than rerolling multiple slots, especially when you can complete those easy bounties concomitantly. With that said, here are some locations we recommend:

1) The First Contact (Lightfall) end checkpoint

Destiny 2‘s most farmable checkpoint strikes again. Completing a Lightfall campaign mission will net you around a dozen Silver Leaves in higher difficulties. And, as usual, guardians can farm the final checkpoint in the First Contact mission in Lightfall—after you kill the boss, but before getting into the drop pod—as shown by content creator Cheese Forever. This glitch always resurfaces whenever guardians need to grind tons of resources quickly, and it was even the case in last year’s Solstice.

2) Dungeon encounters

This year’s Solstice added the convoluted Alloy system, and one of the possible bounties requires you to complete encounters in any dungeon. This could let you kill two birds with one stone, gaining Alloy and Silver Leaves at the same time. Even if you that objective isn’t in your checklist, completing quick dungeon encounters should get you around seven Silver Leaves a pop, making it an easy way to stockpile those resources.

If you’re looking to max out your gains, repeating a Dûl Incaru checkpoint will net you tons of Silver Leaves quickly, though you’ll need at least one other guardian to swap the checkpoint with. The first full-on encounter of Spire of the Watcher can also be a (slightly slower) choice for a fireteam, though your picks are much more limited if you’re soloing.

3) Heroic public events

It gets boring quickly, but each Heroic event will net you a somewhat respectable four or five Silver Leaves. We used this for Solstice 2023 and other events, and it does award a decent amount of event-related resources.

It’s a mindless, low-effort way of stocking up on Silver Leaves, even if it’s not technically the very best, so get your favorite playlist or podcast and knock yourself out.

4) Event challenges and playlist activities

If you’re looking for a more long-term strategy rather than just getting Silver Leaves from public events, you could knock out Solstice event challenges. Some task you with running determined amounts of playlist activities, Dares of Eternity runs, and trips to the Blind Well or the Altars of Sorrow. For what it’s worth, Crucible matches are likely shorter than the other activities and can potentially get you more Silver Leaves per hour.

5) Bonfire Bash

Bonfire Bash isn’t the best Silver Leaves farm in itself, but it has the potential for great Solstice rewards. This activity gives you a handful of Solstice Engrams per completion, offering the chance of multiple rolls. You can even take home around nine Silver Leaves on a good run, though the activity’s soft timer reduces your gains quite a bit.
