A suppressed sniper rifle could be coming to Fortnite: Battle Royale

The data miners are at it again.

A recent leak has surfaced that may have revealed a new gun coming to Fortnite: Battle Royale.

Well-known data miner Lucas7yoshi tweeted a file name yesterday that could indicate a suppressed sniper rifle might be added to Fortnite in the future.

Of course, Epic Games hasn’t confirmed or announced anything in terms of a suppressed sniper rifle yet. But if this gun was added to the game, it’d be the fourth weapon in its class, alongside the Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle, Hunting Rifle, and Heavy Sniper Rifle.

It’d be interesting to see how powerful a suppressed sniper rifle would be in Fortnite: Battle Royale, however. It surely wouldn’t be as strong as the Heavy Sniper Rifle, and some fans would argue that it also should be weaker than the Bolt-Action due to the silencer attachment.

The other snipers in Fortnite are pretty loud when shot, so a suppressed weapon would obviously have an advantage over similar guns in that aspect. But we won’t know how effective this leaked gun can be until it’s added to the game (if it ever actually is added to the game, that is).
