Overwatch 2 players get massive last-minute battle pass gains with new limited-time event

It's a huge buff for people that need an end of season push for level 80.

For some casual players completing the Overwatch 2 battle pass can seem like a daunting task. With 10,000 experience required to complete each level, players need 800,000 XP to get to level 80 and bag all of those premium cosmetics.

However, as season three winds down to an end, Blizzard today started an event that might help rally players struggling to get to that sweet mythic Kiriko skin, like a Brigitte main popping her ultimate ability.

While most players are clamoring for the return of Roadhog’s Pachimari skin, the game’s PachiMarchi limited-time event that started today gives players 10 new challenges that represent 80,000 battle pass XP in total.

Additionally, many of the challenges only require players to complete games and do the Catch-a-Mari game mode, and none of them even require you to win any games.

For those that already have the Pachimari Roadhog skin, there is still a reason to complete the challenge associated with the skin; the Overwatch 2 challenge, which requires players to complete six other challenges affiliated with the event, rewards players with four full levels of battle pass XP (40,000).

Meanwhile, five of the challenges can be completed simply by playing 16 games of the Catch-a-Mari game mode. Even if you don’t do anything at all, you will likely successfully complete numerous other challenges assuming you put any amount of effort into it.

The limited-time event will only run until April 4, but it serves as a perfect catchup opportunity for players that maybe didn’t have as much time as they would have liked to level up their battle pass.

With a Mythic Kiriko skin up for grabs at level 80, getting that boost toward the end of the season could come in clutch like a last-minute Mercy Resurrect.
