One of the best things about Hogwarts Legacy is being able to hop on a broom and fly around the vast map. It’s functional, making getting from A to B a lot easier, but it’s also a whimsical experience for fans of the Harry Potter franchise.
As you play through the main storyline, you’ll be able to pick up new spells and abilities via the Flight Class. One quest that you’ll need to complete to do this involves popping a number of balloons above the Quidditch pitch and Hogsmeade Station, but it’s not immediately obvious how to do this.
It’s worth the effort, though, as the Flight Class rewards you with powerful spells like Glacius, freezing and incapacitating your foes. Here’s where to go and how to pop the balloons over Hogsmeade Station in Hogwarts Legacy.
Where to find Hogsmeade Station in Hogwarts Legacy
Hogsmeade Station is located east of Hogwarts castle and directly south of Hogsmeade Village. You’ll likely have a fast travel point unlocked already at this point in the Hogwarts Legacy story, but if not, start in Hogwarts castle and work your way toward Hogsmeade Village.
Make sure to pick up any fast travel spots you come across in the area, as Hogwarts Legacy has a vast map and travelling across it can take a fair amount of time.
It’s worth making sure that you start the Flight Class balloon-popping quest during the day, to ensure that you can see the balloons clearly.
If you end up doing it at night, though, you can use Revelio to easily spot the balloons and mark them for ease of popping.
To get to the Quidditch pitch portion of the quest, you’ll need to head back to the Hogwarts castle and look for the brightly colored towers on the edge of the grounds. As you fly closer, the balloons will appear above the grounds, ready to be popped.
How to pop balloons in Hogwarts Legacy
Popping balloons in Hogwarts Legacy is quick and easy, as all you need to do is fly near them, line up so you’re heading directly at them, and zoom through them. Confetti will explode out of the balloons as you do so, indicating that you’ve popped them successfully.
It can be much trickier to pop the balloons if you’re going too fast, so it’s worth taking it steady and not using any speed boosts. It is possible to miss a balloon and skim past it, so save yourself the time and effort by pacing it during your first attempt.
There are five balloons over Hogsmeade Station, so once you’ve popped those, head back to the Quidditch pitch by the castle. Then, head back to find Madam Kogawa during the day and turn in the quest to claim the rewards.
Popping balloons at different locations will help you make progress in challenges and unlock new brooms as rewards in Hogwarts Legacy. Keep an eye out for new clusters of balloons as you explore the map and pop any that you come across.
