Hearthstone allows you to purchase Card Packs and Arena entries with an in-game currency called Gold. Gold can be earned many different ways. In this Hearthstone gold guide we will discuss how to obtain Gold and how to spend your hard-earned Gold wisely.

Play Mode
Play Mode is one way to generate Gold but is often times not ideal and very time consuming. Below are some things to keep in mind when making Gold from Play Mode.
- Every three wins will reward you with 10 Gold
- A maximum of 100 Gold can be earned from Play Mode a day
- Casual and Ranked both generate wins for Gold
- The Arena, Practice Mode or playing against friends does not count towards generate wins for Gold
One-time Quests
One-Time Quests are none repeatable. Some offer Gold while others offer Arcane Dust and even unique cards.

Daily Quests
One way to earn Gold in Hearthstone is to complete Daily Quests that the game offers you. Keep these ideas in mind when thinking about your Daily Quests.
- You will be given one Daily Quest a day.
- You can have a maximum of three Daily Quests.
- You have the option to decline one Daily Quest a day and in turn, be offered a new Daily Quest.
- Note:Â Always decline the 40 Gold Daily Quests for a chance at a 60 Gold Daily Quest.
- Do not worry about completing your Daily Quests everyday, as you complete Daily Quests more will appear for however many Daily Quests you missed.
- Daily Quests can be completed in either Play Mode (Casual or Ranked) and in The Arena.

Tips for Beginners
Now that we have shown you what gives you Gold, we will discuss the steps you should take when first playing Hearthstone to spend your Gold effectively.
- Play against every class to earn the achievement: Ready to Go! To earn 100 Gold
- Next, defeat every Expert AI Hero to earn the achievement: Crushed Them All! For another 100 Gold
- After that, reach level ten with every Hero to earn the achievement: Got the Basics! For an additional 100 Gold
- Next, complete three games in Play Mode. If you need help building a deck, check out our guide library for hundreds of decks
- The Arena will be your next stop to make Gold. The first entry is free and as you play The Arena more you will begin to understand the basic mechanics of all the cards. If you feel uncomfortable entering The Arena stick to Casual Mode until you feel comfortable.
- Lastly, the Chicken Dinner achievement is awarded for earning a 100 wins so that should be your next achievement
