The new points of interest on Fortnite’s map for season 5 are beautiful

Worlds are colliding in Fortnite for season five, and the map is changing a lot because of it. There are two new named points of interest that have replaced old classics, but there’s a whole lot more than that, too.

Here’s what’s changed in Fortnite’s map for the beginning of season five.

The new map contains a ton of changes from season four, and some of them are directly noticeable from the overhead map.

Paradise Palms

This new desert biome section has replaced Moisty Mire in the southeast section of the map. It’s a massive area that includes a truck stop, a gas station, many houses, and a massive race track perfect for the new karts.

Lazy Links

Replacing Anarchy Acres, this new area is a luxury resort where players can indulge in sports like golf, basketball, and volleyball. The surrounding area is made up of a huge golf course.

Viking Village

One of the coolest new locations in season five is this viking village. It is not a named point of interest, but it’s a pretty cool one. It’s located on the top of a mountain in the west section of the map, and it features a river, a viking boat in a waterfall, and viking houses.

Other changes

The soccer stadium has been replaced by an empty field with a giant Easter Island statue in the middle.

Another Easter Island statue can be found on a hill southeast of Shifty Shafts.

A third Easter Island statue is located northwest of Lucky Landing.

The fourth Easter Island statue can be found northwest of Dusty Divot.

A fifth Easter Island statue is located northwest of Tomato Town.

You can find another Easter Island statue northeast of Greasy Grove.

Dusty Divot has become overgrown by trees.

The Durrr Burger has returned to Fortnite, but this time, it’s located on a hill to the east of Pleasant Park.

The NOMS sign from Retail Row has also made its way back to Fortnite. It can now be found northeast of Risky Reels.
