In last week’s v5.0 update, Fortnite: Battle Royale got its first proper vehicle.

Sure Shopping Carts had been in there for a while, but they weren’t really vehicles in the traditional sense. Last week, the All-Terrain Kart (ATK) arrived in the game.

The Karts arrival alongside the new golf course point of interest is no coincidence, and they are perfect for a day on the Lazy Links.

Just as players are getting to grips with the ATK, new data mined information could mean the vehicles getting a new look in the near future.

The prolific Twitter account @FNBRLeaks found some file names relating to vehicle customization. The only potential re-skin for the Kart in the game files is a llama skin right now—the purple and blue llama is an iconic character in the Fortnite game.

With skins, back blings, gliders, and a ton of other cosmetics already, this could well be another way for players to spend money in the game and visually customize their experience. Fortnite is a free-to-play game, but cosmetics are a big part of the culture surrounding it.

As Fortnite has become a certified cultural phenomenon, that’s been reflected in how much money players are willing to spend. In May alone Fortnite made $318 million—a record for console gaming.
