Balloons will be the newest addition to Fortnite: Battle Royale soon.
Today’s message of the day in the Fortnite pre-lobby screen features a picture of balloons in between announcements for the competitive Fall Skirmish and Fortnitemares limited time event.
“Inflate balloons to defy gravity,” the message reads. “Add balloons to increase your altitude!”

Last month, balloons were found in a datamine alongside the Quad Launcher, which has already been in the game for a couple of weeks now. These helium-filled friends could be consumables that players can use to recon wide-open areas.
Balloons will likely arrive in the next game update later this week, potentially mid-week.
