When does Destiny 2’s Festival of the Lost end?

A bit after Halloween.

Go get your masks from the back of the closet and don your scariest armor pieces, because the Festival of the Lost has returned to the Tower. For the 2022 version of the event, players can revisit some of the Haunted Lost Sectors and even set foot in a new one in the EDZ. Bungie is also bringing a new Festival of the Lost weapon this year and adding the fan-voted mech-themed set to the mix, which will be available in the Eververse store. Though like all Destiny 2 events, Festival of the Lost has to end sometime.

Bungie is giving three weeks for players to enjoy the 2022 edition of Festival of the Lost, which offers plenty of time to chase the mech-themed set, run through the event challenges, and even score some rolls of the Festival of the Lost-exclusive weapons. Here’s when Festival of the Lost ends so you can hang up your mask—and pull it out of the closet again next year.

When does Destiny 2‘s Festival of the Lost 2022 end?

Festival of the Lost 2022 will run until the weekly reset on Nov. 8, marking exactly three weeks since its launch on Oct. 18. This means players will only have three Eververse store rotations throughout the event, so if you’re looking to score specific cosmetics, the window for them is short—especially if you’re looking to score them with Bright Dust.

What time does Destiny 2‘s Festival of the Lost end?

Festival of the Lost 2022 ends on the weekly reset on Nov. 8, which takes place at 5pm UTC (12pm CT without accounting for Daylight Savings). This is the same time as the daily and weekly bounties reset on Oct. 18, so if you’re in doubt, you can consult any source that tells you how long until your active bounties and vendors change their stock.

What’s in this year’s Festival of the Lost?

For Festival of the Lost 2022, Bungie brought back Haunted Sectors, which players may be familiar with from the 2021 version of the event. These activities are similar to established Lost Sectors, though they bring a slew of new enemies to fight. They will also reward Festival of the Lost gear, including the new Mechabre sniper rifle.

The sniper blends the mechanic and the macabre (as evidenced by its name), and players can double down on both aspects by acquiring the mech-themed armor set in the Eververse store. Players voted for it earlier this year, beating out the monster-themed set that struggled to get a win against the mechs in 2022 and the dinosaurs the year before that.

Players can also find a trove of cosmetics in the Eververse store, with mask ornaments and cosmetics available for sale. The most cosmetic-oriented players may also grind their event card and upgrade it with Destiny 2‘s premium currency for extra emotes, a sparrow, and a Ghost shell.
