Some of the biggest names inĀ FortniteĀ grabbed spots in the grand final event on the last day of qualification.
Turner “Tfue” Tenney, Ryan “Chap” Chaplo, and Nick “NICKMERCS” Kolcheff each secured spots in the grand finals with top 33 placings in Sunday’s nightly qualifier. Those players, and all 96 of their grand finals opponents, have already clinched $5,000 by making it to Monday’s competition.

Everyone who made it to the final stage of the event was guaranteed $5,000, but there’s a lot more on the line on Monday, Sept. 3. Players will be vying for the lion’s share of $1.5 million, the largest prize pool in the eight-week Summer Skirmish series.
Players earned their spot in the grand finals through daily qualifiers, which placed them into the nightly competitions.Ā In each game, points were awarded through placings and eliminations, with three points given for seven-kill games or Victory Royales. Players could get two points or a single point as well, depending on how high they finished on the leaderboard or how many eliminations they ended with.
Tylarzz came out on top in both the leaderboard and the eliminations count, finishing with 11 eliminations and eight total points. FaZe Clan playerĀ Jason āTennp0ā Wang finished in second, with his teammate Tfue not far behind.

Although the field has been finalized, there’s still a lot of uncertainty about who will emerge as the final Skirmish champion. Numerous professional players are competing for the honor, but there are several free agents as well who will have their shot at claiming victory.
The grand finals, a six-game series between the top 99 players, will begin at 1pm CT and can be viewed on Twitch, YouTube,Ā Twitter, Facebook, andĀ Mixer.
