The Kraft Group-owned organization announced their releases on Aug. 31. “Each of these players were a key part of our inaugural season and I want to thank them for their contributions and hard work,” The Kraft Group gaming president Chris Loranger said in a statement. “We wish them the best of luck and look forward to seeing where they go from here.”

Boston Uprising has seven players remaining on the roster for season two. The organization has not announced replacements for the three players, who operated respectively in the support and flex tank roles. Before Avast and Snow were dropped from the roster, Boston Uprising had five support players in the 10-person roster. Three support players remain.

Boston Uprising and the rest of the Overwatch League teams are currently in a trade and signing period, where teams are able to negotiate with Overwatch League and Contenders players for season two. On Sept. 9, all unsigned players will become free agents. From Sept. 9 to Oct. 7, expansion teams will be able to sign these free agents. Come Oct. 8, the field will be open for any player outside of the Overwatch League and Contenders, too.

A start date for the Overwatch League’s second season has not been announced. More information is expected in the coming months as the remaining expansion teams are announced.
