To kick off the seventh week of the Fortnite Summer Skirmish series, Ryan “Chap” Chaplo and Nicholas “Thief” Smorto came away as the winners of group two, while LeFouBruiteur and Skite were champions in group one.

The Summer Skirmish’s partnership with Twitch Rivals is the reason for the group splits. Typically, the North American group of players would compete on Friday and the Europeans finish the week on Saturday, but Twitch Rivals’ entrance has put both regions on display each day.

As has been tradition, this week’s format was different than last week’s, but it remained very basic. Both eliminations and Victory Royales were valued, with individual eliminations rewarding one point while wins and eight-kill games both granted five points each.

In the first group, LeFouBruiteur and Skite won a single match out of the five possible. Their eliminations were enough to put them above the rest, though. Solary’s star player, Duong “Kinstaar” Huyh, finished in second after winning the fourth game of the series.

While Chap and Thief captured the $40,000 grand prize, popular players KingRichard, Nick “NICKMERCS” Kolcheff, and Tim “TimTheTatman” Betar finished in the top 10 as well.
