Norway’s top team in Counter-Strike has reloaded their roster.
In June, British esports organization London Conspiracy picked up their current Counter-Strike team from among the best players Norway has to offer. Results have been mixed since, and now the majority of that roster has been turned over.
Joining the team anew are Sebastian “Ensa” Aas, Joakim “jkaem” Myrbostad, and Morton “Zeves” Vollan.
Each of these players had been playing with two of London Conspiracy’s team members, Ruben “Rubino” Vallarroel and Havard “Rain” Nygaard, under the name “Clutcit.org” in recent matches. Fans were unsure what this meant, but now it has been made clear, as this new group of five will officially take on the London Conspiracy mantle moving forward.
The team offered a statement on their official Facebook page extolling the potential of the new roster, and making it clear that they were already hard at work practicing with an eye on 2015.
London Conspiracy had shown flashes of their potential over the several months, but were never quite able to put it together.
The team’s best showing might have been a top eight finish at Gfinity in August. That event was immediately followed by ESL One Cologne, which the team had managed to qualify for. But Cologne would prove disappointing for the Norwegians, who would be eliminated during group play.
Among the players removed from the team is Preben “prb” Gammesæter, the former Counter-Strike 1.6 star who came out of retirement specifically to play with the group. Whether Gammesæter will continue on his Global Offensive career now that he is no longer with the team remains to be seen.
