Jon “Orange” Westberg is the most in-demand player in Hearthstone after a streak of red-hot performances. Rumours have been flying that he is about to sign with a big team. Now it seems that the frontrunner is Jason “Amaz” Chan’s Team Archon.

Negotiations between Archon and Westberg are at an advanced stage, the Daily Dot has learned. Westberg will likely sign within the next week or so.

Westberg’s current squad, Sweden’s Team Darkstar is still considering what compensation to request for buying out Westberg’s contract, but this is not expected to be a stumbling block for the deal.

Westberg has received multiple offers to join new teams, and had been said to be considering his options in recent weeks. However in the last week he has officially rejected a number of proposals, including from Dignitas, and now Archon is his first choice.

If Westberg does ink the deal with Archon, he would be the second player to join this month. Earlier this week, the team added Paul “Zalae” Nemeth, who has already moved into the Archon team house in Texas. Ryan “Purpledrank” Murphy-Root, who is now the team’s coach, also moved into the house last week.
