Seven casters have been officially invited for Hearthstone World Championships, according to sources close to the event. These include Dan “Frodan” Chou, who’s now hosted almost every major Hearthstone event in the game’s history, as well as experienced casters Marcin “Gnimsh” Filipowicz and Janne “Savjz” Mikkonen.

Popular streamers Octavian “Kripparrian” Morosan and Jason “Amaz” Chan will also be casting the event. Both were due to cast the Americas Championship earlier this month, but Morosan instead committed to cast the WSVG tournament. Chan withdrew for unknown reasons after being announced.

Tempo Storm’s George “Hyped” Maganzini and Magic: the Gathering hall of famer Brian Kibler, who has become a popular analyst in recent months, have gotten the nod to cast the World Championships.  Although Maganzini has less casting experience and his inclusion is surely a surprise to some, he’s widely considered to be a talented analyst among his peers.

An official announcement from Blizzard is expected in the next week.

The World Championship gets underway on Oct. 29, with the group stages played out in ESL’s Burbank, California studios. The top eight will advance to the single elimination finals played out at Blizzcon on Nov. 5 and 6.
