Vexed Gaming closes down esports division

After a number of appearances at major Counter-Strike events, Vexed Gaming had still yet to break through and record any good results. Now the organization has decided to call it a day.

Vexed, the rebranded esports arm of esports betting website eBettle, appeared at major events like DreamHack Cluj and ESL Barcelona but failed to close the gap with top teams.

In Cluj, the team finished bottom of a stacked group that included Cloud9, Fnatic and Luminosity Gaming. As eBettle, the team had a similar result at ESL One Cologne, going 0-2.

At ESL Barcelona the team recorded a win over Spanish minnows x6tence, but still finished sixth out of eight teams.

Players Karol “rallen” Rodowicz, Damian “Furlan” Kisłowski, Dominik “GruBy” Świderski, Bartosz “Hyper” Wolny, Karol “repo” Cybulski, and coach Kuba Kubiak will now have to look for a new organization. The players have made no statement on the matter, or given any indication as to whether they will stay together.

The team’s Hearthstone players—Jan “Faramir” Engelmann and Tuen “Vortex” Eielts—will also now be on the hunt for a new home. Eielts only joined Vexed two months ago.
