The game won the prize for “best eSports title of the year” at the London-based awards show. But aside from the game itself, five additional awards ranging from “PC player of the year” to “eSports broadcast personality of the year” went to players and personalities well-known for their contributions in the FPS title.

The Brazilian SK Gaming roster was particularly well-represented at the event. Its star player Marcelo “coldzera” David claimed the “PC player of the year” award for his stunning consistency and contributions throughout 2016. The team’s captain Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo also received the “eSports personality of the year” award.

Esports organization EnVyUs, includes its incredibly popular CS:GO roster, were given the overall “best eSports team of the Year” award.

Aside from players, one half of the most celebrated casting-duo in CS:GO, Auguste “Semmler” Massonnat received the award for “best eSports broadcast personality.” And finally Richard Lewis, who investigated and broke several stories surrounding gambling in CS:GO, was awarded the “eSports journalist of the year.”
