The third map for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, the tropical locale of Sanhok, will return for one final run on the game’s test servers this weekend.
This will “likely” be the final test for Sanhok, according to PUBG Corp, in preparation to bring the map to the live servers next month. This weekend will be the fourth test of the map, which has already seen many changes since its initial test.
“This will likely be the final Sanhok test on the Experimental Server,” said PUBG Corp’s blog post. “If everything goes according to schedule, Sanhok will come to live servers near the end of June. Even after it launches, we’ll continue making changes based on the feedback we get from you guys.”
Sanhok offers a much different experience than Erangel and Miramar, the game’s first two maps, mostly due to its size. Sanhok is half the size of the original maps, making it offer a much different gameplay experience than the one that players have come to expect from PUBG.
Everyone who owns a copy of PUBG on Steam will be able to try out the map this weekend. You just have to download the “PUBG: Experimental Server” game found in your Steam library in order to play the map for the final time before it launches.
The test is scheduled to begin at 9pm CT on May 31, and it will last until 6am CT on June 4. After that, it will only be a matter of weeks before everyone on PC gets to play the map on the live servers.
