Are you sad about it being Monday? Us too, but now you finally have a reason to look forward to the beginning of a new week: it’s the ESN Weekly News Recap! Here’s all of the fun stuff that happened in the past week in the world of Call of Duty!

Merk Joins nV
—————————-
It only took a couple days after being unceremoniously dropped by OpTic Gaming for Joey “Merk” Deluca to find a new home, and that home is with Team EnVyus. Merk joins the roster of Rambo, Karma and Proofy to help nV try to reclaim past glory in the last few events that 2013 has to offer for Black Ops 2.

Thanks for the support. I will continue what I do best on @TeamEnVyUs Thank you for the opportunity.

Team Impact Disbands
—————————-
What a wild ride it’s been for Team Impact. They bounced around through sponsors and organizations such as Fariko, IcoNs and Epsilon throughout this year’s circuit, all the while winning four major events including the Call of Duty World Championship in April. Now, though, Impact is nothing but a memory.
After Parasite left the squad to join UNiTE, the team of MirX, Killa and John played with Blfire as a fill-in at the MLG Turtle Beach PAX Prime Invitational as they looked for a permanent fourth. That fourth would never come, however, as John would leave the team following the event.
I will no longer be playing with Team impact. I am now a F/A.
— Johnathan Perez (@MLGJohn287) September 4, 2013
That left Killa and MirX as the last two players standing, but they would not be for long, as Team Impact is no more.
And here’s why…
—————————-
UNiTE Drop Mboze for Killa
—————————-
In what was easily the most shocking roster move last week, just days after winning the MLG Turtle Beach PAX Invitational, UNiTE announced that they had dropped Mboze. The Call of Duty world was shocked. UNiTE, after just coming off of a victory and dethroning CompLexity, now needed a new fourth.
We wouldn’t have to wait that long to find out who’d fill Mboze’s spot.
I just wanted to let the community know I have officially left impact. I am know apart of @UNiTEGaming
— Adam Sloss (@UNiTE_Killa) September 6, 2013
Adam “Killa” Sloss, that’s who. The former Impact player and teammate of UNiTE player Parasite has joined forces with him once again. UNiTE’s roster of Parasite, Nameless, Ricky and Killa is, arguably, about as formidable as any other team out there right now.

MirX Joins Curse.NA
—————————-
Not to be outdone or be left alone with no team of his own, MirX found a new home this past week in Curse Gaming.
We would like to announce @Crs_Mirx to the team, along with @CrsBlfire @CrsCMPLX and myself. Big things to come from @CurseCoD
— Eric Servello (@CrsTwiZz) September 7, 2013
Curse’s new roster of MirX, Twizz, Blfire and CMPLX are yet another highly formidable squad in the ever-changing landscape of Call of Duty teams.

SoaR Drop Realize
—————————-
Citing attitude as the main reason for the need to part ways, SoaR dropped Realize last week, amid the flurry of every other roster move going on at the time.
SoaR has decided to part ways with Realize. Best of luck to him and whatever he decides to do. We have players in mind but feel free to hmu.
— Anthony (@SoaRMethodz) September 6, 2013
As of now, SoaR’s roster of Methodz, Stainville and Heist are looking for a fourth.

Team Horizon Wins Gfinity 2 Qualifier
—————————-
On Sunday in London at the Gfinity headquarters, a four-team tournament went down to decide one of the final two spots left at Gfinity 2 next month. In an intense match with TEC that went down to the last game and final round of Search and Destroy, Team Horizon solidified their spot in the tournament.
.@OfficialHorizon hold their nerve and win the right to compete at G2! What a game! Shame that there had to be a loser in that tie.
— Gfinity (@Gfinity) September 8, 2013
The final spot for Gfinity 2 will be decided through the massive online qualifier tournament.

MLG Updates Anaheim 2014 Date
—————————-
When MLG Anaheim 2014 was announced, it wasn’t realized at the time that it would be taking place on the same weekend as Dreamhack, the world’s largest computer festival and a huge LAN event. When the mistake was realized, MLG quickly moved to rectify the situation.
We’ve adjusted our dates to avoid overlap with @DreamHack. The #MLG Championship in Anaheim, CA, will take place June 20-22, 2014.
— Adam Apicella (@MrAdamAp) September 5, 2013
Anaheim will now take place one week later. Sorry if you booked your flight already.
