Earlier today, Fabien “ kioShiMa” Fiey revealed that Adil “ ScreaM” Benrlitom will be playing for Team EnVy as a stand-in during their FACEIT League matches this week.
The French line-up were competing at the ESL Winter Pro League Finals where they finished in fourth place after Natus Vincere took them down in the Semi-Finals. Na’Vi went onto win the Winter Pro League hosted by ESL.
Team EnVy’s poor showing this weekend, in comparison to other recents, can partially be explained in a Facebook post by Fabien Fiey who said, “I can not concentrate enough in the tournament since I’ve known someone who is essential to me is gone.” You can find the full post here.
Fiey’s temporary replacement, Adil Benrlitom, has not been actively competing since the disband of Epsilon eSports side where some of his teammates were involved in a betting scandal. His teammates purposely lost a match where their friends benefited from an Epsilon loss on a betting site.
Our thoughts are with Fabien Fiey and his family as they go through this tough time in their life.
