Winner’s Bracket Round One Predictions

Unlike many of the other major Call of Duty events, the Season 3 Playoffs will not include Pool Play, and will head straight into a double-elimination bracket. Because of the online mishaps during the Pro League, all 12 teams were invited to the tournament, instead of the originally intended top-eight.

Because all twelve teams are playing, the bracket is not normal. To fill you in without confusing you too much, here is the winners bracket:

More information on bracket play and the event schedule can be found in our MLG Pro League Season 3 Playoffs Preview .

Bracket seeding was determined via final standings, post-reset:

  1. OpTic Gaming: Scump, Crimsix, FormaL, Karma
  2. Team eLevate: Slacked, Classic, TJHaly, Saints
  3. FaZe Clan: Clayster, Enable, ZooMa, Attach
  4. OpTic Nation: MBoZe, Ricky, Mochila, MiRx
  5. iSolation Empire: Dedo, Havok, Llamagod, SiLLY
  6. Team EnVy: Loony, AquA, Octane, JKap
  7. Epsilon eSports: Remy, Nagafen, Royalty, Parasite
  8. Rise Nation: Chino, Whea7s, Apathy, Burnsoff
  9. Team Kaliber: Sharp, Neslo, Theory, Nameless
  10. Denial eSports: Replays, Huke, Temp, Slasher
  11. TCM Gaming: Jurd, TeePee, Aches, Fears
  12. Team Orbit: Accuracy, Faccento, TcM, Happy

*Note: OpTic Gaming, Team eLevate, FaZe Clan and OpTic Nation have byes in the first round because of their seeds.

Rise Nation (8) vs Team Kaliber (9)

Expect this match to be extremely, extremely close. Team Kaliber should have the edge here coming off of an above average performance at UMG Washington D.C., but they have struggled throughout Advanced Warfare . This one’s a coin-toss, but Team Kaliber should take it.

iSolation Empire (5) vs. Team Orbit (12)

This one shouldn’t be close. The iSolation Empire players seem to get better every event, and Orbit has not looked strong. Coming off of a win against FaZe at UMG D.C., iSo should be feeling pretty good, and will take this series win.

Team EnVy (6) vs. TCM Gaming (11)

If TCM continues to play the way they have been on LAN, this won’t be a contest. This EnVy squad is not one to take lightly, and what we’ve seen from TCM lately just won’t cut it. Expect EnVy to win the handily.

Epsilon eSports (7) vs. Denial eSports (10)

How did Denial perform so poorly online as to finish tenth in the league? No idea, but this team is completely different on LAN. Coupling the recent Epsilon struggles with Denial’s second-place finish at UMG D.C., the winner here should be a simple choice. Expect Denial to walk away with this one.

Top 8 Predictions

  • 1st: FaZe Clan

    • $25,000
  • 2nd: OpTic Gaming

    • $15,000
  • 3rd: Team eLevate

    • $11,000
  • 4th: iSolation Empire

    • $9,000
  • 5th-6th: Team EnVy

    • $8,000
  • 5th-6th: Team Kaliber

    • $8,000
  • 7th-8th: Denial eSports

    • $7,000
  • 7th-8th: OpTic Nation

    • $7,000

FaZe Clan will be looking to bounce back after a top-eight finish at UMG D.C., but it’s certainly possible that they falter. If so, OpTic will be right there to snatch the victory away from them, but don’t count out Team eLevate, iSolation Empire or Team EnVy. Some may look at this list and question Denial’s placing, considering their second-place finish at UMG D.C. Well the truth is, all of these teams are very evenly matched. Denial had a good tournament at D.C., but it just feels like another team will give them some problems. Team eLevate and iSolation Empire, looking at you.
