Gfinity CWL London Day 3 Recap: Bracket Play Begins

Day 3 of Gfinity CWL London has concluded.

Day three of the Gfinity CWL London Invitational has concluded and we are now down to six possible champions.

Only four group matches were played today, with bracket play beginning immediately afterwards. The numbers in the parentheses represent the seed within the group each team has:

GROUP A

  • (3) FAB Games eSports 3-0 Bando (4)

GROUP B

  • (1) Team Elevate 3-0 The Imperial (2)

GROUP C

  • (3) Cyclone 0-3 Millenium (4)

GROUP D

  • (3) Black Forest Games 0-3 Hadouken (4)

  1. Splyce (3-0) — ADVANCED
  2. Aware Gaming (2-1) — ADVANCED
  3. FAB Games eSports (1-2) — ELIMINATED
  4. Bando (0-3) — ELIMINATED

GROUP B

  1. Team Elevate (3-0) — ADVANCED
  2. Epsilon Esports (2-1) — ADVANCED
  3. The Imperial (1-2) — ELIMINATED
  4. Team IN2ITION (0-3) — ELIMINATED

GROUP C

  1. Team 3G (3-0) — ADVANCED
  2. Orbit (2-1) — ADVANCED
  3. Millenium (1-2) — ELIMINATED

  1. Team Infused (3-0) — ADVANCED

As you can see, eight teams of the original 16 advanced to bracket play. Each 3-0 team was matched up with a different group’s second-place team in the bracket:

UPPER BRACKET QUARTERFINALS

  • Splyce 0-3 Orbit
  • Team Infused 3-1 Epsilon eSports
  • Team 3G 3-0 Aware Gaming
  • Team Elevate 3-1 FNATIC

LOWER BRACKET ROUND 1

  • Splyce 3-0 Epsilon eSports
  • Aware Gaming 3-2 FNATIC

 

Tomorrow is Championship Sunday, a day where the winners of Gfinity’s first Call of Duty event of the year will be crowned. Matches that are on the schedule include Orbit-Infused, 3G-Elevate, and more.
