Wild Area weather symbols in Pokémon Sword and Shield explained

What does each one mean?

The Wild Area is an integral part of Pokémon Sword and Shield since it houses many of the creatures that you can find in the game.

The massive area is split into several subsections, each with its own adverse weather throughout the course of the day that rapidly changes the type of Pokémon you can encounter in that particular area.

If you don’t know what the symbols mean on the map when trying to find Riolu in a snowstorm in Giant’s Cap, for example, then you won’t know where you need to go for that specific Pokémon.

With that in mind, here are all of the weather symbols in the game and what they mean.

Clear/Normal Weather

Cloud/Overcast

Rain

Sandstorm

Snowing

Thunderstorm

Sunshine/Intense Sun

Fog

Snowstorm
