Team Dignitas’s performance at the Overwatch Open was lackluster to say the least. This was because numerous different things, including a lack of communication. Despite a small victory in the playoffs, Dignitas failed to make it out of the group stage, struggling to keep up with FaZe Clan and Ninjas in Pyjamas. Neither of these teams made it to the finals, so it was up to Dignitas to look at where they went wrong.

Today, Dignitas announced they would be releasing both Seb “Numlocked” Barton, known for his impressive plays as Reinhardt, and Artur “Art1er” Bishcof. It is stated the team’s players themselves came to the decision to remove the players, in hopes to improve the team at a faster pace. Team Dignitas is currently looking for suitable replacements.

Whether or not this will improve Team Dignitas is yet to be seen, but this may just be a step in the right direction if they want to compete with the other big European teams, including Team EnVyUs and Misfits.
