The two teams qualifying out of the North American qualifiers for DreamHack winter are none other than Fnatic and compLexity.
Fnatic made quick work of the competition, not losing a single game up until its final series against compLexity. Although not victorious in the end, compLexity was the only team to take a game from Fnatic, with the match going 3-1 in Fnatic’s favour.
CompLexity’s journey to the final was not so easy. Having to face off against Team Liquid and Cloud9 is challenging enough, but compLexity ultimately came out on top. Not only that, the squad earned bragging rights for being the only team to snatch a game away from Fnatic, robbing them of their clean sweep. In the lower bracket, FaZe Clan tore through Method, Cloud9 and Team Liquid, placing them in the lower bracket final against compLexity. Having suffered a hard defeat at the hands of Fnatic, compLexity was not willing to go down quietly and earned its place at DreamHack by beating FaZe in a close lower bracket final.
Both teams will be joining the two European teams who won their qualifiers, Misfits and Ninjas in Pyjamas, at DreamHack Winter in Jönköping Sweden, from Nov. 25-26 to battle it out for the $50,000 prize pool.
