Germany’s most famous esports organization is looking to make changes to its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster, Slingshot Esports reports.
After mousesports’ Bosnian superstar Nikola “NiKo” Kovač left on Feb. 19, the team has struggled in various online qualifiers. It now seems the team has been holding tryouts in order to replace current team captain Timo “Spiidi” Richter, who has been struggling with his in-game performance for quite some time.
Mousesports is reportedly trialling current Rogue rifler Jesper “tenzki” Mikalski as well as competitive newcomer Robin “ropz” Kool. Tenzki, who joined Rogue on Aug. 17 last year, has previously competed with organizations such as Team Dignitas and SK Gaming.
Ropz, meanwhile, has garnered quite a lot of attention recently due to his performances in the FaceIt Pro League. If he were to join mousesports, it would be the 17-year-old’s first competitive team.
Mousesports, one of the longest-standing esports organizations in Germany, saw its CS:GO team struggle heavily throughout 2016. Despite fielding one of the game’s best players in NiKo, the squad consistently failed to achieve any noteworthy results. Complaints from the CS:GO community were often hurled towards Spiidi as a result, as he rarely delivered performances as impressive as his teammates.
