You can’t use the Swordfighter form forever, though. It has a set amount of energy before it disappears, and you need to gather up more energy again to unleash it. Because of the limited energy, you want to use it carefully. There are ways to track down these pockets of energy, such as renewing your Swordfighter form, which you might need to use to solve particular puzzles. Here’s what you need to know about how to get energy for Swordfighter form in Echoes of Wisdom.

You can find the first pieces of Swordfighter energy as you progress through the Suthorn Ruins, where you fought Link and unlocked the Swordfighter form. These pieces of energy are floating runes that you can pick up whenever you don’t have enough Swordfighter energy. You can see your Swordfighter bar on the top left of your screen in Echoes of Wisdom, and you can activate it by pressing up on the D-pad.

If you’re standing close to Swordfighter energy, it should draw to you and add to your overall total. Like other items in Echoes of Wisdom, the resource zooms over to you and doesn’t require an item press to pick it up immediately. Because Swordfighter energy is sometimes in tricky locations, you only need to get close to pick it up.

The Swordfighter energy symbols should appear in locations where you actively expect to use the Swordfighter form. This goes for the various dungeons and puzzle locations throughout Echoes of Wisdom. A good indication of knowing you can find Swordfighter energy is when you see the large, dark webs preventing you from advancing forward, or blocking off an area. These are locations you can cut through using the Swordfighter’s sword.

Reaching these locations will take a lot of work. For example, while exploring the Suthorn Ruins, there’s a location in the dungeon where you can see Swordfighter energy floating above a Deku Baba. Reaching that area requires you to bypass the dark webbing, though. You can break these apart with enough Swordfighter energy, but you might not always have enough while playing Echoes of Wisdom. Instead, you need to use out-of-the-box thinking. For this example, I could create an echo of a Strandtula and climb the webbing they create to reach the other side.

These obstacles are expected and will continue to appear while playing Echoes of Wisdom. Thankfully for players, the Swordfighter energy has a distinct blue glow that could help make it easier to spot during your playthrough. If you think you see some, stand still and wait a few seconds. The Swordfighter energy gradually floats around its location, and it might be inside a wall when you’re looking at it. Give it a few seconds to glide through the area, and share its location with you.
