This one LoL champ has dominated the top lane at all ranks over the last 2 months

This champion has had at least a 52-percent win rate since July.

If you’re looking for a top lane champ to help you climb the ranks in League of Legends right now, it might be time to give Yorick a try.

The Shepherd of Souls has posted the highest win rate of any top lane champion in all ranks since at least Patch 14.14, according to League stats site U.GG. Patch 14.14 was released on July 17, which means Yorick has effectively been the top laner with the best win rate at all ranks for the last two months.

On the current League Patch 14.18, which went live two days ago on Sept. 11, Yorick already has a 52.89-percent win rate at all ranks in over 85,000 matches played, according to U.GG. That’s good for the fifth-highest win rate of any champ right now across all ranks, only beaten by mid-lane Garen, bot-lane Swain, jungle Amumu, and bot-lane Brand.

Yorick has had at least a 52-percent win rate at all ranks since July 17, according to U.GG. If you dive a little deeper into the numbers, though, you’ll notice Yorick’s win rate is higher at the lower ranks (55.86 percent in Iron and 53.88 percent in Bronze on Patch 14.18 so far, for example). So we might not necessarily see much of Yorick at Worlds 2024, but that doesn’t mean he can’t help you get some wins in low-rank solo queue.

I haven’t played much League lately, and when I do, I usually tend to stick to the bot lane as an ADC or support. But when I do venture out of the bot lane, Yorick has always been one of the top laners I’ve enjoyed playing. His split-push potential lets me feel like I can take matters into my own hands when I get the short end of the stick in terms of reliable teammates in solo queue.

It’s unclear at this time if Riot Games will issue any nerfs to this top lane menace in an upcoming patch. But based on these stats, this might be your cue to make a last-minute ranked climb with Yorick before the second split of 2024 ends on Sept. 24.
