The Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta is here, and CoD players are thriving with a new experience to enjoy once more.
BO6’s omnimovement, new maps, and new weapons in multiplayer combine with a thrilling campaign and return to round-based Zombies experience to offer one of the most exciting CoD titles in recent memory.
Players are having a blast leveling up guns and ranking up levels to unlock everything the beta has to offer, and many are wondering if the progress will be saved for when the full BO6 game comes out at the end of October.
Here’s everything we know about BO6 beta progress carrying over to the full game.
Does BO6 beta progress carry over?
No, Black Ops 6 beta levels and unlocks do not carry over to the full game. The beta is a small sampling of BO6 to help Treyarch and Activision test the game, hear feedback, and fix bugs before the full title launches.
The BO6 beta includes 30 levels of unlocks (20 on weekend one, and 10 more on weekend two) and a small smattering of what the full game will include. The beta has only eight maps while the full launch has 16, and there are just a couple of weapons for each weapon class, like the popular Ames 85 assault rifle and likely-to-be-nerfed Jackal PDW SMG.
There are two weekends of the beta before it comes to an end on Sept. 9, leading to a long, excruciating wait until the full game comes out.
The 30-level mark is also a sampling and not the full picture. When BO6 launches, there will be 55 levels to unlock on day one, on top of Prestige levels. When players Prestige in BO6, they are reset to level one and must unlock everything again, and they can only save one particular item per reset with a Prestige token so it never has to be leveled up for again.
In BO6, there are ten Prestiges, and then the Prestige Master rank to chase down. And unlike previous years, the Prestige levels are not tied to seasons. This means players can play and rank up as much as they want without hitting a wall that halts progress.
BO6 launches in full on Oct. 25 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
