Hidden prizes are scattered throughout the four zones of WoW: The War Within, providing treats for PvE players who enjoy quests. But solving the quest slows most down on the quick grind to level 80. The KaJa’Cola Machine puzzle is a good example of an easy puzzle that can make you dizzy. And finding the Smuggler’s Treasure was obvious, in hindsight. When I heard about the Blocked Intake puzzle, the style immediately piqued my interest as you shift one block at a time within a seven-by-seven square. Plus, I wanted a new pet. Here’s how to solve the Blocked Intake puzzle in The War Within.

The Blocked Intake puzzle is in The Ringing Deeps zone of TWW, or the second of four zones. No level requirements are needed unless you land outside the puzzle area and encounter enemies that out-level you.

The map coordinates for the Blocked Intake puzzle are 48.19 and 48.94. The puzzle is located in a small pool of water outside the Hallowfall Gate in The Waterworks area of The Ringing Deeps. Approach the puzzle and press the gear icon to get started.

I’ve seen at least two ways you can solve the Blocked Intake puzzle in TWW. My pipe-solving path was one of minimal resistance that still required around 20-plus moves to accomplish. Only one square block can move at a time, and it has an automatic path it will follow unless you block it and force the block to move in another direction.

Most of the pipes you need are nearby. But the square that needs to be moved first is sometimes four or five blocks away. Force the square you need into the block and repeat the process.
