Is Smite 2 down? How to check server status

Hold strong.

Smite 2 is finally here with the release of the 24/7 closed alpha, paving the way for the complete release in the future. As an online game, server issues are to be expected and we’ll tell you how to check for issues.

The 24/7 closed alpha in Smite 2 began on Aug. 27 and will run indefinitely before an open alpha takes place at a yet-to-be-announced stage in 2025. This is when Smite 2 will be free-to-play as early access is currently restricted to those who purchased a Founder’s Pack.

Problems are to be expected with Smite 2 given its early access status and we’ll tell you how to check if issues are server-side or something you can fix yourself.

The quickest way to check the Smite 2 server status is to head to the official status page for Hi-Rez Studios. Smite 2 is not listed separately from Smite, however, and the servers may be different, so be sure to check elsewhere.

Social media is a good place to check for any issues with Smite 2, either by directly checking the official Smite account or using the search function to see if any other players are reporting issues. You can also check Reddit forums.

It’s worth mentioning that Smite 2 is still in the closed alpha stage, so bugs and issues are to be expected. This includes server issues, disconnections from games, and delays in getting items.
