A closed beta for the highly-anticipated mobile version of Call of Duty has been released in select countries. It’s only available in the Google Play Store right now and there’s been no news about an iOS release date yet.

Users from select countries have been able to download and play the first person shooter. The beta will be available for a short period of time, after which the servers will be wiped. Any progress made during the beta won’t be transferred to the global release version.

The description in the Google Play Store says “Call of Duty®: Mobile is currently in Closed Beta in select countries, and we are working to improve the game experience by continuously fixing bugs and adding additional content for players. We welcome any feedback during your experience to improve the game.”

The Google Play Store page for the game has also been updated with a brand-new game trailer, logo, and in-game screenshots.

Call of Duty Mobile combines elements from previous titles in the franchise, including the Black Ops and Modern Warfare series. Familiar and fan-favorite maps such as Nuketown and Hijacked can be played in the game.

Battle royale and Zombies modes are also in the works and will be coming out after the global release. The game allows you to configure your loadout and scorestreaks, too, just like in the console versions of Call of Duty.

In the present beta release, the following maps and game modes can be played.

Maps

  • Crossfire
  • Standoff
  • Crash
  • Nuketown
  • Kill House
  • Firing Range
  • Hijacked
  • Raid
  • Tunisia

Game modes

  • Frontline
  • Team Deathmatch
  • Search and Destroy
  • Domination
  • Hardpoint
  • Free-for-all

The game has been developed by Timi Studios (game studio of Tencent) in a partnership with Activision.
