Best Wraith build in Deadlock

This carry is exceptional for hunting down isolated enemies.

Deadlock is not even out yet, but has at least been acknowledged by Valve. With all the sharing restrictions lifted, and more and more players flocking to the game, the need for optimal builds has risen sharply. So, here is our best Wraith build for ultimate carrying potential.

Optimal Wraith build in Deadlock

Wraith is a true hyper carry hero in Deadlock, capable of dealing massive damage quickly. So quickly, in fact, she almost one-shots her opponents. However, as carries often do, Wraith lacks solid defenses and can become vulnerable quickly, so our build here will focus on a well-rounded carry approach that will help you stay alive and dish out as much damage as possible.

Wraith likes getting up close and personal with the enemy, so you’ll want to focus on high DPS while also remaining relatively safe during the laning phase. This is where items such as Basic Magazine and Monster Rounds come in, as they allow you to farm effectively and dish out enough damage to bully enemies into submission. In case your defenses are severely faltering and you’re on the receiving end of some high DPS, you should consider purchasing Extra Health, Extra Regen, or the Bullet and Spirit Resist Armor items for maximum safety.

In terms of spells, you should focus on leveling each of the spells up first and then giving them all at least one upgrade point before dumping all of your upgrade points into whichever one you want to max first. Her first spell, Card Trick, is a solid candidate for a first upgrade, especially if you go for Extra Charge as an early item. But if you’re a movement enthusiast and want to buff your mobility, Sprint Boots is a fantastic choice which can later be upgraded into Enduring Speed for even faster movement.

Best mid-game build for Wraith in Deadlock

Once the mid-game comes along, roaming and playing around the map becomes all the more important than just sitting in lane farming creeps. Wraith is especially good at hunting down solitary enemies that have lost their way amid the neutral camps and are trying to pick up some extra gold. To maximize her potential, you should aim for Tesla Bullets and Lucky Shot, the latter being a top priority once you get enough Souls to buy it. Again, if defense is lacking, Improved Bullet or Spirit Armor are good options alongside Bullet Lifesteal.

The second ability you should buff is the third, Full Auto, due to its exceptional fire rate boost. For optimal use, teleport in, pop Full Auto, and burst the enemy down quickly. If they try to run away, just use your ultimate to pin them.

Best late-game build for Wraith in Deadlock

During the late game, or if you’re exceptionally fed and have a massive advantage over the enemy, you should seek to maximize your damage output with little regard for personal safety. Your ultimate will help you isolate and take down important targets, and you’ll want to do this as fast as possible during fights. Purchasing Glass Canon will substantially boost your damage output, but leave you quite a bit vulnerable to enemy damage. Don’t worry; Vampiric Burst and Leech can help mitigate some of the lost HP by providing you with incredible lifesteal that, paired with your blazingly fast fire rate and damage, makes you nearly invulnerable.

Titanic Magazine can also be an option if you want to keep shooting with no regard for wasting bullets, while Curse is a great tool against heroes who don’t want to stop running away or ruining your fun with crowd control or isolating spells.

Your ultimate can also take priority over your Q if you have a huge advantage early, as it allows you to AoE disable several enemies near you, pushing you even more into that “up close and personal” sort of gameplay where Wraith thrives.
