The answer to the “Fluster” clue in today’s puzzle is “UPSET.” Whether it’s used as a noun or as a verb, fluster refers to making someone confused or upset, particularly when they’re trying to do something, or simply the state of being confused or upset. ‘Fluster’ NYT Mini Crossword clue difficulty

I’d give this clue a difficulty rating of four out of five. When it comes to “Fluster,” I always think it means more along the lines of being nervous, agitated, or stressed. I forget it can also mean being upset. So, when I read this clue today, I was confused because of this. It wasn’t until I solved the clue for five-down (CLUB) that I then remembered it could also mean upset. So, if you thought along the same lines, you’re not alone.
