How to eliminate opponents from over 30 meters in Fortnite Chapter 5, season 4

Attack from afar.

As you help Hope and Captain Jones figure out how to stop Doctor Doom in Fortnite Chapter Five, season four, you must work your way through some important story quests. One of these tasks asks you to eliminate opponents from over 30 meters.

This can be a tricky task, but it’s one of the earlier story quests, which means you must complete it to progress. If you’re stuck on this one and need some help finishing it, here’s how to eliminate opponents from over 30 meters in Fortnite.

To eliminate opponents from over 30 meters, you need to vanquish three opponents while you’re at least 30 meters away from them. There are a few key steps to complete this process, so here’s how to do it.

  • Acquire a weapon you can use to deal damage from far away. 30 meters isn’t super far, but it’s also not close which means you won’t have success with items like a Shotgun or SMG. I used an AR for this task and it worked perfectly.
  • Find an enemy to hit from 30 meters away. I recommend choosing an NPC for this quest for your best odds of success. Players can be unpredictable, but NPCs are always terrible at aiming, making them easy targets. There are plenty of NPCs you can take down at locations like Castle Doom, Doomstadt, and The Raft.
  • Attack your enemy until they get knocked down. If you choose an NPC, you can hit them up close with any weapon you like until they fall, then back up 30 meters to finish them off. If you are playing with a duo, trio, or squad, you can use this method on other players, but NPCs are the most reliable option overall.
  • Move 30 meters away and deliver the final strike. Since you have knocked down your target, you can easily move back as far as needed and attack them one last time to eliminate them from 30 meters away.

To complete this quest, you have to repeat this process thrice on three different enemies. It’s not too difficult to do if you attempt it at a location with lots of NPCs wandering around, so you should get through this one in no time now that you know what to do.

With this quest out of the way, you can move on to other tasks like damaging opponents with Doctor Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets Mystical Bomb or collecting War Machine’s Arsenal, War Machine’s Auto-turret, and War Machine’s Hover Jets. If you want to do something different instead, you might enjoy finding the secret Iron Man room or completing Gwenpool’s mission.
