Should you pick Pancham, Galarian Weezing, or Inkay for the Team Building Great League Timed Research in Pokémon Go?

Which path should you choose to take for this Timed Research?

Every so often you receive a Timed Research in Pokémon Go where you have to choose between branching paths. The Pokémon World Championships 2024 event has a Timed Research called Team Building: Great League that features three distinct paths for you.

These paths force you to choose between building a team featuring Pancham, Galarian Weezing, and Inkay. All three are considerably strong choices, especially for the Great League in Pokémon Go. These three Pokémon are only a small preview of your choices, and they offer vastly different rewards as you play through this Timed Research.

Is it better to go with Pancham, Galarian Weezing, or Inkay for the Team Building: Great League Timed Research?

The three choices are the featured Pokémon for these options. You get a full team when you choose, which may alter your decision. Overall, my best recommendation is to go with the Galarian Weezing choice, as Galarian Weezing is much more difficult to find in the wild. Pancham is obtained from hatching 12km eggs by defeating Team Rocket Leaders, and Inkay is usually featured in the wild. Galarian Weezing, on the other hand, is challenging to track down. It’s typically a research reward, or you can catch it by defeating it in three-star raids, which don’t happen often in Pokémon Go.

However, let’s fully break down the three teams to understand these choices better. On Pancham’s team, you have Dunsparce and Mantine. For Galarian Weezing, you have Skorupi and Chespin on its team. Finally, Inkay has Shellos and Jigglypuff. Of these Pokémon, Galarian Weezing is still the most difficult to capture in the wild outside of events.

The various rewards for the Team Building: Great League Timed Research in Pokémon Go offer you candy from the featured Pokémon on that team. If you already have a Galarian Weezing but want to get more candy in any of the three Pokémon featured for these teams, this is an excellent Timed Research for that opportunity. Pancham could be a good candidate for this, or even Inkay, for anyone still needs to evolve one into a Malamar in Pokémon Go.

There are no unique rewards beyond the featured candy for the three Pokémon on the team you select. Everything is the same regardless of the path you specify. While I recommend you choose Galarian Weezing as I feel this is the best choice and offers a chance to catch a hard-to-find Pokémon, the choice is yours for this Timed Research.
